Murfreesboro, TN (July 16, 2025) – NAACP’s Murfreesboro Branch Annual Freedom Fund Gala returns.

The NAACP Murfreesboro Branch is honored to host the 2025 Freedom Fund Gala on Saturday, September 6, 2025, 6:00 pm, at the MTSU Student Union Ballroom. This year’s theme, “Freedom is Non-Negotiable: The Fierce Urgency of Now!” calls for a time that demands courage, action, and leadership in the face of inequality.

The Freedom Fund Gala is our signature fundraising event, honoring remarkable individuals and organizations who make significant contributions to the advancement of freedom, equality, and social justice within Rutherford County.

We are seeking nominations for deserving individuals and organizations who exemplify this sense of urgency—those who have boldly advanced justice, equity, civil rights, and community empowerment within Rutherford County. You can find the categories in the link above.

The NAACP continues to fight for the civil rights of every American and speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves,” says President David Settles. In a time of political unrest, the NAACP aims to remind this country its allegiance to “liberty and justice for all.”

To support the NAACP’s mission to continue to the fight for civil rights, you can purchase tickets to our fundraiser here.
